This is the Mantis Society's Philosophy section. This is an independent understanding of god unassociated with an other religion.

His Eminence, Mantis, has been teaching his understanding of god since 1980. He has dealt with people from all walks of life, as his teachings discuss.
It is our hope that these words will help you understand yourself and the world around you. The messages will gain more detail as Mantis finds the need for further explanation of a topic.

Pain

Into each life some pain must fall. This only means it is an unavoidable fact, not a blessed event. It is not good, except in that it aids in our growth and development.
While we may never really know how to avoid this tragic component of life, simply being able to deal with it is the greatest we can hope for. When it comes to the pain that exists within our relationships; be they family, friends, or lovers, it is our responsibility to face the music and accept our responsibility in its existence.
Those that say, Let the past to the past never have dealt with any emotional baggage. This causes much regret and anguish through their lives. The pain that exists, even when pushed under the surface, continues to fester and alter the course of our actions with others.
The primary point of becoming an adult is the ability to deal with these issues in a calm (although at the time emotions may make this impossible) manner. Many times we see our elders act miserably with each other. Eventually they will get past the anger, yet this does not mean the issue is handled. This suppression becomes the bitter root of life that spreads like a poison through our system. Our common bond as a unified soul suffers from this. For this reason we must learn to change our way as a society.
Within this sphere of existence there are no religions, colors, or languages, merely a growing common pain that is tearing apart our world. This is the single largest cause of War, Greed, and Denial.
