This is the Mantis Society's Philosophy section. This is an independent understanding of god unassociated with an other religion.

His Eminence, Mantis, has been teaching his understanding of god since 1980. He has dealt with people from all walks of life, as his teachings discuss.
It is our hope that these words will help you understand yourself and the world around you. The messages will gain more detail as Mantis finds the need for further explanation of a topic.

Freedom

It is a fact that not all people follow the same path. Yet, most people are appalled by the fact that others choose to live a different moral position.
In my philosophy for example, sex is not taboo, but irresponsible sex is immoral. What is immoral is not, necessarily, illegal. If you are consenting adults and chose to commit a sin, which affects no one else, then you only have to answer to god! Until that time comes, no one has any right to speak upon your life. I, personally, would wish to see all people live a moral life, but that will not happen.
This realization is god's! How can you dare to supersede god's authority? Only within the actions which effect others without their will can laws be made. Any action between consenting adults, i.e. mutual combat to the death, while not to intelligent, is not immoral, nor should it be illegal.
As for the freedom of sexual expression, if consenting individuals feel the mood of love, they should be able to express it anywhere, anytime. Sex is something that is an absolute in life. How can you be ashamed of these things which must be done? Within this course, if those individuals are not morally married, then they only have to answer to god, this is not a crime.
Rape, Murder, and Child Molestation are the only crimes that the punishment of Death is allowed. Other victimizations are given to the lesser detention. Victimless crime cannot exist!
